Knights Of Columbus

St. Daniel Council of the Knights of Columbus is a non-profit service organization committed to the betterment of St. Daniel Church and the Clarkston Community.  The principles of this organization are Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism.  Charitable efforts begin with activities to feed the poor, assist those in need and organizing projects designed to provide funds to organizations who can best serve those most deserving in the Clarkston Community.  Activities for charitable service are obtained though the Unity of the 105 members of the St. Daniel Council and Fraternity of such membership.  Results are best achieved when the Council can band together and support those in our community.  St. Daniel Council realizes that with its actions alone, it cannot satisfy the needs of all in the Clarkston Community. However, if its actions are directed to others who can increase the Council’s efforts, it becomes a win/win for all involved as well as a great benefit for the people of Clarkston.

To date for 2019, the St. Daniel Council held its annual Tootsie Roll Drive to benefit people with intellectual difficulties.  Over $6,000.00 in total was distributed to Special Olympics, SCAMP of Clarkston, ARC of Oakland County, Club Create of Clarkston, Angels’ Place and other local organizations who assist those with intellectual needs.  Food has been donated to Lighthouse of Oakland County; monetary support given the youth of St. Daniel for their annual Mission Trip, funds donated to the Clarkston High School Senior Class “Celebration Party”, assistance provided to the “Magic Bus” fund raiser held at the Deer Lake Athletic Club benefiting Drew’s Home of Clarkston and volunteer support for the Angels’ Place 10K Race in Clarkston.

St. Daniel Council’s major fund raiser will be held on August 11, 2019.  This will be the annual golf outing to benefit Drew’s Home of Clarkston, a home for special needs adults.  The Drew’s Home Golf Outing is a 4 Person Scramble, 1:30 Shotgun Start with dinner included after golf at a cost of $100 per player.  Registration for sponsors and golfers can be made at www.drewshomeclarkston.org.  Last year over $32,000 was raised to benefit Drews Home of Clarkston and the goal for 2019 is to far exceed last year’s number.
