The Chamber and the communities it serves:
Clarkston Area Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit business organization
serving the City of the Village of Clarkston, Independence and Springfield
Townships and the hamlet of Davisburg.
Clarkston, Michigan is approximately 42 miles north of the City of Detroit, with
three convenient highway access points to I-75. M-15, Dixie Highway and
Sashabaw Rd. also provide major transportation corridors to our community.
The City of the Village of Clarkston is located in the heart of Independence
Township. The city is approximately one-half square mile with a
population of just under 900. The historic and picturesque Main Street
includes a two-block retail and business area with unique shopping and
dining.
Independence Township is a growing residential community in north Oakland
County. Population 32,000. Home of DTE Energy Music Theatre.
Springfield Township is home to the headwaters of several river
tributaries. The township weaves conservation and preservation together
with carefully planned development, which maintains the integrity of an
