attend this time of year. However, if ever there was a reaffirmation of the . . . (MORE) |

WHAT IS A HEALTHY BODY FAT PERCENTAGE?
Body composition refers to the amount of fat you have, relative to lean tissue (muscles, bones, water, organs). This measurement is a clearer indicator of your fitness because regardless of what you weigh, the higher percentage of body fat you have, the more likely you are to develop heart disease, high blood pressure, stroke, and type 2 diabetes.
Call Anytime Fitness-Clarkston (9685 Dixie Hwy) to schedule your FREE body fat testing on January 15, 2012…such a deal! 248-625-3002

Clarkston State Bank hires Robert Grant as Executive Vice President and Senior Lender
CLARKSTON, Mich., November 21, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- J. Grant Smith, President and CEO of Clarkston State Bank is pleased to welcome Robert F. Grant as their Executive Vice President and Senior Lender, filling a key position for the bank. Mr. Grant brings with him broad experience and knowledge in the commercial lending and credit disciplines, both of which are invaluable in today’s environment.
Mr. Grant’s 30+ years banking experience is highlighted by his appointment to Regional President at TCF Bank back in 2008 after heading up their commercial banking discipline in 2005. During that time, he led the growth of the commercial loan portfolio by 20% over three years and established a health care loan group that yielded both significant loan and deposit growth for the bank. He previously spent 20 years in leadership roles in commercial lending at Old Kent Bank and its successor Fifth Third Bank.
President J. Grant Smith said, “The addition of Bob to our executive team along with his leadership and lending expertise is critical to our strategic plan as we complete our turnaround and begin the process of rebuilding the bank. Our Board of Directors is excited to have him on our team and know his presence will have a great impact on our future.”
Mr. Grant is located at the Waterford office of Clarkston State Bank on Highland Road in front of the Oakland County airport.
Clarkston State Bank opened in January 1999 and operates four branches in Clarkston, Waterford and Independence Township, Michigan.

Dear Employer:
On behalf of the Career Services Department at Oakland University, I would like to cordially invite you to attend our annual Winter Career Fair. The Winter Career Fair is scheduled for Wednesday, January 25, 2012 from 10:00am-1:00 pm for all Business, Liberal Arts, Science, IT and Engineering employers. Lunch will be served at 1p at the conclusion of the fair. The optional interviews that employers can participate in will begin at 2pm.
Due to competitive market demands, we would like to assist employers with their hiring needs by providing the opportunity to interview candidates on site immediately after the Career Fair. You do not have to reserve a space to do this. All employers will receive an interview signup sheet at the fair and will use their same assigned tables to conduct interviews. You can decide that day during the fair if you want to interview candidates and the number of interviews you conduct is up to you. If you choose to interview candidates, you decide on the time frame and assign the students a time to come back to meet with you. Many employers choose to do 15 or 30 minute interviews and use this opportunity as a preliminary meeting. These interviews after the fair are optional and free.
Last year, we had about 300 students and alumni in attendance, and we expect a stronger turnout this year. Your participation in this year’s Winter Career Fair will greatly enhance our students’ career paths.
Oakland University is consistently recognized by U.S News and World Report in its annual report about "America’s Best Colleges." Seize this opportunity to meet with Oakland University students and alumni from varying backgrounds who represent outstanding quality and success! You will be meeting students who are excellent candidates for full-time permanent employment, as well as candidates for internships, cooperative education positions, and part-time employment.
Please find the registration information in the link below on our web site at: http://www.oakland.edu/?id=12485&sid=68. For any questions you may have concerning this event, please call us at (248) 370-3250.
Thank you for your continued interest in our students and we look forward to seeing you at the 2012 Winter Career Fair.
Sincerely,
Wayne Thibodeau
