Chamber President
Bill Burr
All Saints Cemetery |
Thoughts from your President:Summertime and the living is easy. Your Chamber has been busy. Concerts in the Park had a great run, with record attendance each week, which meant tremendous Ice Cream sales. Though many travel this time of year our attendance at BOB’s has been outstanding. Having a great summer is the Challenge Cup, if you follow its exploits on Facebook you will know that it has been all over the Detroit area. From all appearances it is having a better time than me.
Work is underway for a new Beer University, the chair women have some awesome plans, stay tuned for more info. Taste of Clarkston our major fundraiser is coming up on Sunday, September 25th we will need plenty of volunteers. Also, there are exhibit opportunities for you business. Finally, the 25th Anniversary of Expo is coming on Thursday, November 10th. This promises to be a grand event showcasing the Best of the Best businesses of the Clarkston area.
Soon I will take a little vacation and some time with my wife. We all need time away from the grind to refocus ourselves and I intend on doing just that.
See you at the next event. Continue to prosper!

NEW FAMILY Hi Everyone!
I hope that everyone is having a fantastic summer! We're hoping to add to your festivities. On August 6th we're hosting our a benefit for Homes For Our Troops. It will be held in the back of our property from 4-8pm. We are hoping to generate a lot of interest which in turn will generate attendance. It is going to be what we think will be a fantastic afternoon of family fun. We'll be featuring a few different bands including Clarkston's 'The Locals'. Local food from The Woodshop and Cook's Farm ice cream. We'll have a dunk tank, which we hope will generate a couple of bucks!!! Our own Don Rush has kindly agreed to volunteer for one of the slots - whoop! If anyone is interested in volunteering in any capacity we would most grateful. Many of our vendors our donating their services, some are discounting services, some are volunteering their time. I've attached a letter from the organization if you are interested in posting it in your store. We are really hoping to spread the word and could use your help. Please feel free to phone me or Steph with any questions.
Fondly,
Shari Schulz
