Last Spring many business owners participated in an Independence Township task force to find ways to encourage business development, specifically on the Dixie Corridor.
The Planning Commission supported the initiatives and presented the information to the Independence Township Board. While Sam Moraco no longer chairs the Planning Commission or the Task Force, Ron Ritchie has stepped forward to keep the Task Force initiatives going. Curt Carson, Independence Township Treasurer has also continued as an active participant. The ideas and initiatives are continuing to progress.
