- April 21, 2010 5:30 pm The public is invited to 'bone up" on the latest treatment and trends in joint replacement procedures and therapy at a free seminar scheduled Wednesday, at the McLaren Health Care Village in Clarkston.
McLaren's Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine program is teaming up with the Michigan Center for Orthopedic Surgery to present this communituy outreach program focusing on hip and knee replacements. The program will be held in the Clarkston Medical Building (third floor, Suite 300) on the McLaren Health Care Village campus, 5701 Bow Pointe Drive, Clarkston. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. and the program is slated from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.Program presenters and topics are as follows:Dr. Shivajee Nallamothu, orthopedic surgeon, "Total Knee Replacement"; Dr. Andrew Ciarlone, orthopedic surgeon, "Total Hip Replacement"; Dr. Edward Lis, Jr., orthopedic surgeon, "Hip and Knee Resurfacing"; and Travis Summerville, physical therapist, "Physical Therapy for the Hip and Knee".A question and answer session will conclude the evening.
