Clarkston Tastes Good, like a downtown should!

Taste of Clarkston, an outdoor food festival that includes live entertainment, exhibits and free children’s activities returns to Main Street in historic downtown Clarkston on Sunday, September 15, 2013.

Main Street will be closed for this event in order to accommodate the restaurant booths, music stage and pedestrians coming to this event. FREE shuttle parking is available from Clarkston Elementary, Clarkston Junior High and Clarkston High School parking lots.


Hours Noon-6 p.m.  (Shuttle buses start running at 11:30 am)

38 restaurants booths will be set up on Main Street serving taste samples and/or meal portions of their offerings. 

The Clarkston Union Oktoberfest tent will be set up and operating throughout Taste of Clarkston. (separate tickets used for this event)

Taste Tickets are available onsite in three ticket booth locations. Buy the number of tickets you want.  Each ticket is $1; food items are priced $1-$10 each. 


Entertainment will be showcased at the Gazebo in Depot Park.  Stage manager and sound provided by Jim Tedder, Tedder productions.

Throughout the event you’ll find areas to support non-profit organizations such as Habitat for Humanity; Habitat Women’s Build; Blessings in a Backpack; Friends of Ryan Kennedy; Easter Seals and more.


In Depot Park—There are 3 restaurants and a ticket booth; children’s carnival games; blow up bounce houses

Bridgewood Church will also have an archery area, children’s crafts; balloon animals; facepainting

Coalition for Youth will have carnival games for prizes (no tickets to play—FREE)

Clarkston News Parking Lot and Washington Street—Classic Car Show (coordinated through Bowman Chevrolet)

Washington Street Parking Lot—2 restaurants; Lions Club Beer Tasting Tent; exhibitors; dining area and a couple bounce houses.

Main Street by Washington St. Parking lot 1:30-3 pm RADIO DISNEY Entertainment and activities.  Across the street the  Mason’s  are hosting their Child ID program.

Church Street—Rotary Wine Tent and Wine Garden will be in Morgan’s Parking Lot; LaFontaine and Excellence in Racing will have a display and interactive exhibit; Dining tables

Health Quest parking Lot: Bounce Houses; Dining tables

By the Banner Gateway:  WCSX will be set up and broadcasting from the Clarkston Union area; Obstacle Course blow up by the Banner Gateway.  The Army will have a climbing wall set up in the Kinetic parking lot.

Strolling entertainment:  Michigan Stiltwalker, magic and balloons; Michigan Renaissance Festival.

Flash Mobs may also be happening throughout the day and event.
