NOTICE OF ANNUAL MEETING AND ELECTIONS

The Clarkston Area Chamber of Commerce nominating committee has selected the following members as the nominees for the 6 board seats up for election. Terms begin October 1, 2009 and expire September 30, 2012.

Don Bolton, Clarkston State Bank

Kevin Harrison, KH Home

Steve Hyer, IGD Solutions

Jackie Kopp, ATD Solutions

Jim Summers, Palace Sports & Entertainment

Kevin Tompkins, McLaren Health Care

Members have the right to nominate additional candidates and can do so by submitting a written petition for candidacy with 25 signatures of members in good standing to the Chamber office, 5856 S. Main St., Clarkston, Michigan, during normal business hours no later than 4:00 pm on August 27, 2009. If additional nominees are submitted, a ballot election will take place at the Annual Meeting, Thursday September 17, 2009 at Oakhurst Country Club. If there are no other qualifying nominees these Board seats will be elected by voice vote at the Annual Meeting.

ARTICLE IV - BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Section 3. Notice of nominations: Additional Nominations
At least 30 days prior to the annual membership meeting, the nominating committee shall present the slate of candidates to the President, including nominations for officers, who shall immediately notify the membership, by mail or facsimile, of the names which have been placed in nomination. Such notification shall include a statement advising the membership of the right to nominate additional candidates. Such notification shall also specify the total number of Chamber members, the date of the membership meeting, and the due date for the filing of additional nominating petitions.

At least 15 days prior to the annual membership meeting, the names of additional candidates may be nominated by written petition bearing the signatures of at least 5 percent of the total Chamber membership in good standing or 25 total signatures of chamber members in good standing, whichever is less. Such written petition shall be filed with the Chamber office during normal business hours.
